Geoff Ridden, a scholar and performer, will discuss the movement of "improving" Shakespeare that occurred in the 17th and 18th centuries, with some of the adaptations displacing the plays of the Bard. Ridden, along with local actors Judith Rosen, Pam Ward and Paul R. Jones, will perform extracts of the plays to illustrate.
