Your Instructor:
Tiina Veer RMT RYT

Tiina is passionate about sharing simple self-care and making yoga and mindfulness accessible to more people. 

Inspired by her own experience living and practicing yoga in a round body, informed by her 18-year massage therapy practice and anatomy knowledge, Tiina shares yoga in a way that is accessible, sensitive and safe. 

All of Tiina's offerings are body-positive—always. Tiina is an active advocate for more accessibility and diversity in modern yoga culture (and classrooms), and recently joined the Leadership Team of the Yoga and Body Image Coalition to further this work with others similarly empassioned about this mission.

Her warm personality, cheerfulness and genuine desire to facilitate "permission to be oneself" are immediately disarming and set a perfect stage for change, healing and learning to play out. When not working, you may find her shooting arrows, taking pictures from a kite, or loitering in the forest with her partner David and their rescue dog Taco.

Deep Restoration™ Workshops
Deep Restoration™ Workshops are an approachable way for anyone to learn simple tools from Restorative Yoga, Mindful-ness Meditation and Guided Relaxation for simple self-care.

Relaxing and enjoyable to experience, the workshops also serve as a self-care course with immediately employable tools to use in every day life for increased resilience and calm.

We practice gentle Restorative Yoga poses, supported comfortably by bolsters, blankets, blocks and other props.* 

While we rest in these shapes, we practice simple breathing, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques, while stretching our deep connective tissue. Practices are repeated from workshop to workshop, allowing you time for integration.

Acknowledgement is also given to the fact that many of us are uncomfortable with stillness--either simply from the pace and chronic over-stimulation of modern-day life, or perhaps for those who suffer with anxiety--and practices are modifed accordingly. With practice, the tools learned can actually be very therapeutic for anxiety, and over time can help one become more comfortable with stillness and the simplicity of breathing practice.

*Yoga props are available for use at the retreat, but purchasing your own set is highly recommended for continued practice at home.
