Greyhound Gathering - Kanab 2015
Celebrate loving greyhounds with three days of fun and fundraising, food and frolic, talks and tales, costume parade and more. Greyhound Gang's web site has much more detailed information. Before completing this registration form - read the Guidelines, make your Accommodations, learn about this more excellent event. Watch for updates on the web site and on Facebook. Discounted rate of $75 applies until 3/15. Then rate is $95 per person. Registration, without pre-orders, closes on April 15th.
Highlights include:
- Blur of Fur - hounds chase humans on a strip of grass, while being clocked by radar
- Costume Parade - everyone goes all out and the crowds cheer to see hounds looking oh so miserable - I mean majestic - dressed in all their finery. There will be music, a stage and prizes.
- Meals - We're going local. All you can eat Pizza. Mojo chicken and Chipotle wrap. Native American Fry Bread. Cookies for dessert. Saturday night, Smores made by Chef Shon at Angels Landing.
- Photo Contest - Enter a picture or two or three - and win a greyt prize. Pictures on display during Gathering.
- Best Friends Angels Landing Yappy Hour, Dinner and Festivities - with a welcome by Faith Maloney - Best Friends founder.
- Auctions & Raffle - Live & Silent Auctions and Woof Raffle - with over 1000 items for your spending leasure.
- Artisans - Sarah Snavely, Northcoast Greyhound Support, Silk Road Collars, K-9 Designs, Greyhound Topia, Greyhound Gang, A Pendant In Time
- Best Friends Tours - on your own time
- Memory Photo and Rock - Professional 8x10 photo of you and yours hounds. Memory Rock to keep or put on Memory Wall.
- Hikes - throughout the red rocks of Utah
You'll want lots of these. They are used for the over 200 raffle items - valued from $5 to $150. They'll get you spins on the Greyt Wheel of Fortune - where every spin is a winner. $1 each. Or in advance 25 for $20.
