Planned giving often concentrates on the arcane mechanics of gifting vehicles while ignoring the motivations of the donor. We take a detailed look at the donor's point of view; specifically how to identify the donor's financial and estate planning challenges, and how to address those challenges with planned giving.
You will not only learn and feel comfortable with the concepts of planned giving, you'll learn how to implement them. While there is no guarantee you'll be able to "land" a planned gift on the day following the conference (in fact we can pretty much guarantee you probably won't), you'll be able to implement the first steps the very second you return to your office and grab a cup of coffee.

Legacy Giving: Invest time today to yield future gifts Explore the importance of planned giving as part of your fundraising strategy, the motivations of donors who make planned gifts, strategies for encouraging charitable bequests, beneficiary designations and the value of charitable gift annuities. Your non-profit likely already has the necessary resources to start marketing planned gifts to targeted individuals and to a larger audience. The interactive session will cover similarities among legacy donors, asking for appointments, three easy vehicles for planned gifts, and the “planned giving mantra.”
