Laughing Buddha Contest & Industry Show

New York Comedy Club, East Village

We are holding our next contest at New York Comedy Club in the East Village with industry guests, Roger Paul and Johnny DiNapoli.

Roger and Johnny manage and book comics and have placed them on Comedy Central, MTV, and more. They also book Catch, Banana's, City Steam, Rockwell's, and various clubs on the East Coast. They regularly work with Jeff Lawrence, Vanessa Hollingshead, Ian Lara, and Caitlin Peluffo among others. They are always looking for new talent to develop.

The contest will be judged by our staff along with audience response.

• 1st prize: 10 mic chips (5 gold, 5 black), video and guest spot
• 2nd prize: 4 Mic chips (2 gold, 2 black) and video
• 3rd prize: 2 mic chips and video

Bring a minimum of 3 guests for a 5 minute spot. Spots are 5 minutes, any comic that blows the light will be disqualified. All comics meeting their guest requirement will receive a free black chip.
