One Month Stand Up Comedy Workshop

Wednesday, August 1st - August 22nd 7-10PM

Develop a five minute set that's strong from start to finish. Practice joke writing, setup and punch, and writing exercises. Begin the journey of finding your voice and developing a point of view as well as performance, mic and stage techniques, and having fun even with difficult or cold crowds.

• Four stand up comedy classes
• 6 Open mics included (one per week, no cover charge, drink minimum may apply)
• Professional showcase in a comedy club with a free HD video

Instructors Bio: 

Kyle Ocasio

Comedian Kyle Ocasio hails from Cleveland, Ohio and moved to New York City at age 18. She has been performing stand up all over the country and most recently the world, since returning from an Armed Forces Entertainment tour in Europe where she brought laughter to the US troops in five different countries.

In 2014, She was featured on AXS TV's Gotham Comedy Live where her performance received excellent reviews in Time Out New York and Glady's Magazine. She regularly appeared on the popular Fox News satirical political comedy show Red Eye as well as shared her insights as a panelist on the morning show Fox & Friends. She has contributed to sketches with Lady Parts Justice to bring both creativity and awareness to women's issues.

In 2015 Rooftop Comedy released her debut album "Tell Mommy Your Name Again" which is in regular rotation on Sirius XM and in 2018 she recorded her second album with Rooftop, this time a collaborative piece entitled "Three's Comedy" with two other comedians. She has been a guest on many Sirius shows including John Fugelsang's Tell me Everything as well as on The Tom Shillue Show on Fox News Radio and the podcast Keith and The Girl. In 2017, she performed at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland where she showcased her unique story telling abilities for international audiences.
