Stand Up Comedy Workshop Level Two w/Jeff Lawrence 

Take your stand up to the next level with our five week course. You must have previous stand up comedy experience or have completed our six week Basic Workshop to register for this class.

Tuition: $325

You will learn:

  • To hone your material into a five minute set
  • Writing discipline
  • Tags, transitions, callbacks
  • The economy of words
  • Not to settle for average laughs
  • How to turn your premises into memorable jokes with a killer knockut punch!

Tuition includes:

  • 5 Workshops limited in class size (approximately 14 students)
  • 5 Complimentary open mics
  • A showcase at a major comedy club with a free HD video of your set

Instructor: Jeff Lawrence

Jeff Lawrence is a headlining comedian and founder of Laughing Buddha Comedy, NYC’s
largest community of comics and producer of Stand Up Comedy Showcases and Open Mics.
He has coordinated talent for Catch a Rising Star, America’s Got Talent, and an audition
showcase for the Late Show with David Letterman. He has worked with the top Agencies,
Casting Directors, Bookers and Managers in the business and is known for having an eye for
new talent.
As a performer, Jeff has appeared on MTV Europe, NBC, and The Grammy Awards,
performing with Bob Dylan. He is a regular in the prestigious Laughter in the Park Series
being featured in Central Park, and recently performed at the sold out Mayo Performing Arts
Center for 1,400 people. He has also appeared in numerous festivals, on national radio,
including the Dr. Fritz Radio Show, Mancow Radio, and college radio stations across the
country. He is also a regular at many of NYC’s top comedy venues, and is always working,
honing and practicing his craft. Jeff loves teaching and helping others and is always available to
lend a helping hand to new and aspiring comedians.
