Purpose:

This presentation will review several aspects of the treatment process that contribute to successful treatment completion. Stressors related to entering and participating in the treatment process will be examined. The importance of effective treatment interventions and post treatment resources will be presented as a way to promote long-term recovery and overall health.

Objectives:

1. Define several aspects of successful treatment completion in terms of individual accomplishment.
2. Explain how stressors are related to the recovery process.
3. Identify effective treatment interventions for residential substance use disorder patients.
4. Identify and present available post treatment options.

Target Audience for All Speakers:

The target audience will be nursing staff, social workers, psychologists, licensed professional counselors, and other mental health therapists or graduate students in those fields. Information will be presented at an intermediate level.
