College and
Career Bootcamp

Undeclared No More!

We know how hard you and the young adults in your life are working (or have worked) to get into the appropriate college!

Now… the real work begins!   In today’s job market a college degree guarantees nothing— especially if you have selected the wring one!  Starting in high school, students need to begin their assessment and career exploration process.  Those already in college often haven’t declared a major or have chosen the wrong one!  With the proper tools and guidance, it’s possible to gain career direction thus ensuring the selection of a major that leads your student to a fulfilling career.

This summer we are offering our half-day class, College and Career Bootcamp, plus 90 days participation in our career on line learning community, CareerConnection.me for $295.00.  This class is appropriate for young people from ages 14 to around 20 years old — incoming sophomore, junior and seniors in high school and beginning freshmen and sophomores in College or Community College.

Internal Resources
How to develop the internal resources necessary to graduate from college with your passion, commitment, and purpose needed to begin a satisfying career.

Personality Types
Become familiar with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to choose a major and a career.  Not only does it help with career suggestions, it also provides information for how to get along in the World of Work.

Communication Styles
How to get along with everyone by adjusting communication styles to get the most out of the college experience, by landing the job, and being successful “right out of the gate.”

Self-Marketing Techniques
The importance of analyzing and marketing all your skills.  Most people need help deciding what to tell people about themselves — both in person and on paper.  You will gain insight into presenting yourself as an accomplished professional for college interviews, internships, and job interviews.

Career Strategies
The Career Strategies you will need to explore and develop while you are in college.  Included will be resources, professional groups, and referrals to individuals willing to conduct Information Interviews.

Wrap-Up -- 90 Day Subscription  CareerConnection.me Website
Learning doesn't begin or end with a half-day workshop.  We teach through a social on-line learning community.  Students will have some preparation work prior to coming to the workshop, and follow up activities and engagement with the larger community at CareerConnection.me.
