Mason spends his life mentoring youth and adults and is dedicated to teaching others to do the same.  His mission is to help people discover life beyond their crisis. He serves as Program Director for the RiseAbove program at Studentreach. Riseabove is a program designed to help homeless youth (many of whom are sex trafficked children) become more successful and get off the streets.  As a child and teen Mason and his mom and siblings lived on the streets and in homeless shelters. At age 19 his mother died and he was given the responsibility to raise his siblings.  Mason's book 'Dad in a Day: When My Mom's Kids Became My Own' comes out May 2017.
