The Texas Education Grantmakers Advocacy Consortium Invites You to Join Us at the Texas Capitol!

Don't miss your chance to hear from legislators, grantmakers, and policy experts on public education issues that will be of utmost importance during the 2015 Legislative Session!

The members of the Texas Education Grantmakers Advocacy Consortium (TEGAC) invite you to join private, community and corporate grantmakers from across the state for an exciting two days of learning and networking at our third Texas Education Grantmakers Advocacy Convening at the Capitol.  TEGAC is a geographically and politically diverse consortium of 27 foundations from across the state who have joined together to promote, protect and improve public education through public policy and advocacy. The 2015 Advocacy Day will include the same high-powered movers and shakers discussing public education policy and politics as in past years. However, this year we will also delve into the inner-workings of high impact philanthropy and put the work of the Texas Education Grantmakers Advocacy Consortium into a state and national context.

This will be a two-day event. On February 24th, 2015, Texas grantmakers will convene just blocks from the Texas Capitol at the historic Stephen F. Austin Hotel to share information, learn and collaborate, followed by an evening cocktail reception at the Headliner's Club. On February 25th, 2015, grantmakers will have the opportunity to visit the Texas Capitol to meet individually or in teams with legislators to discuss important public education policy issues.

Our 2011 and 2013 Advocacy Days were the largest gatherings of private philanthropy at the Texas State Capitol in the history of the state on any public policy issue.  We are excited to bring even more Texas philanthropists together in 2015!  This event is open to ALL grantmakers, so please help us spread the word to other philanthropists and foundations interested in public education or advocacy. Participation is limited to grantmakers; including private, community, and corporate foundations and individual donors.  The event is always packed, so please register soon!
