The course offers participants practical skills for at-home beekeeping and
honey extractions, as well as an in-depth look at the biology and history of
beekeeping. You’ll work with live bees from United’s own bee operation,
giving you the confidence to start a successful beehive in your backyard.
NOTE FROM THE INSTRUCTOR: Due to a high level of activity from the hive this year, our honey flow has come much earlier than expected. Because of this, we will be spinning honey (which was planned for the second class session) during the FIRST CLASS SESSION. THE SECOND CLASS SESSION HAS BEEN CANCELLED. The now one-session class will be held on Saturday, August 9.
