The Economy of 18th Century Western Pennsylvania

Learn about how Fort Pitt was the center of trade by touring the Fort Pitt Museum’s Fur Trader’s Cabin and by examining firsthand accounts from traders and suppliers. Participants will leave knowing how to use primary source documents in the classroom and with examples of activities that help explain Pittsburgh’s first economic system.
