On April 22, 2016, the IIDA Carolinas Chapter will host their Annual Meeting and DesignWorks in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina.  We will celebrate another fabulous year together as a Chapter, and recognize outstanding achievements in design with our awards ceremony.

Healthcare Forum Speaker

       Janet Kobylka, AAHID, RID, EDAC, LEED AP  

Janet Kobylka resides in Dallas, TX. She is the lead interior designer and healthcare transition planner for Workplace Solutions, which focuses on IO & T healthcare planning for the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration.   She holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Minnesota.  She has over 25 years of experience in healthcare and commercial design with HOK and RTKL, and she has worked on numerous healthcare projects in the U.S. and Asia.  She is a founding member of the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID) and is an emeritus member of the AAHID Board of Regents.   Janet has been a grader for the NCIDQ exam for several years. She has served as a Best of NeoCon judge for many years as well as for the Nurture Collegiate Design competition, the Healthcare Architectural Design Showcase and the Nightingale awards competition.   Her speaking engagements have included NeoCon, the Healthcare Design conference, the VA National Interior Design conference, MetroCon, EDRA, ASHE PDC, and IIDA National Healthcare Day.

 Cheryl S. Durst, Honorary FIIDA, LEED AP, is the Executive Vice President and CEO of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) where she leads the Board and Members of the International organization and champions and elevates the profession of Interior Design.
