The Microaggression Game helps communities, classrooms and corporations create safe and supportive environments for having difficult conversations about microaggressions. It uses scenario-based learning to help participants understand how marginalized people might interpret, internalize and react to daily subtle slights and insults. Participants receive strategies for intervening micro aggressive interactions and creating equitable spaces for historically marginalized people.
OBJECTIVES
1.Learn how to manage difficult conversations about racism, adultism, sexism, homophobia and classism amongst diverse groups of people.
2.Understand how historically marginalized poeple might interpret, internalize and react to microaggressions.
3.Learn how to build authentic relationships with anyone and intervene microaggressive interactions effectively.
