100-mile English Century - 7:00 a.m.

60-mile Metric Century - 8:00 a.m.

40-mile - 9:00 a.m.

25-mile - 10:00 a.m.

REST STOP DISTANCES*

 25 Mile Route - 3 stops 7 to 8 miles apart.  You drive your car to the lunch site.

40 Mile Route - 4 stops 7 to 10 miles apart with lunch at approximately 25 miles

60 Mile Route - 6 stops 7 to 17 miles apart with lunch at approximately 35 miles

100 Mile Route - 6 stops 7 to 22 miles apart with lunch at approximately 48 miles.

CBES pledges water views on both sides of the Delmarva peninsula through the hospitality of private homeowners who open their properties for rest stops. Rest stops have beverages, light snacks, toilet. Stops open on published schedule found on your cue sheet. If you reach a stop before or after its scheduled operating time, service may not be available.Picnic lunch all routes.

Eastern Shore is flat- NO hills. All public roads paved, with good bit of mileage being asphault and the remaining mileage [60+ percent] being tar and chip.Asphalt rolls very smoothly, the tar and chips rolls a bit more rough. Our county roads have little traffic- we don't usually ride  US Rte. 13. 

SAG

Professional service from Salisbury Cycle & Fitness available at the start/finish area and lunch stop. Several marked vehicles ride routes & available all day to assist riders. Most rest stops can contact them. 

  • Police/Rescue Squads are aware of Tour and routes.
  • If you have medical or police emergency, call 911 ASAP.
  • If you need service or other assistance from the Tour, contact host personnel at any stop.

Boutique bike tour limited to 1,000 Riders. CBES 24th Annual Between the Waters Bike Tour begins in the waterfront village of Wachapreague, centrally located on 70-mile pennisula. Route is designed for your cycling pleasure. Includes scenic rests stops that overlook the waters of the Atlantic and Chesapeake Bay. ROUTES

Bike Tour is on public roads except for driveways leading to rest stops/lunch. Directional arrows are painted on right edge of pavement at all public road intersections. Mileage on cue sheets are "car miles." Your bike miles may vary a bit.

Perennial favorite: CBES Between the Waters Bike Tour Oyster Roast. Under the stars oysters are roasted and served up inside a century-old barn on long tables .Foot stoopin' blue grass music by talented Shore Musicians. Event begins 6pm Oysters Madness starts around 6:30 pm -all plucked fresh from local waters-till the last one is gone. Brownie Bar open till we bid a sweet good night by 8:30 p.m.Soft drinks, limited amount beer/wine available.Can't send guests on road tipsy! Bring oyster knives (few available) and glove. CBES offers our Bike Tour Riders a  FREE Friday afternoon guided fun ride that has 12 and/or 20 mile routes at discretion of volunteer bike guides.Always awesome location- different route from Sat.'s ride.
