Dear Safety at Sea Tract I and Tract II participant,

In light of CDC's latest guidance on large gatherings and the restrictions now placed on the USCG we have made the necessary decision to defer the Safety Courses originally offered at Houston YC on March 28th.  We expect to announce a revised date for the event that will be in September or October, prior to the Harvest Moon Race on October 29th.

Storm Trysail Club has decided to offer you two options.

Tract I participants

1.  Hold your reservation for the re-set date (that is to be announced) with the option to cancel up to 30 days prior to the event if you have a conflict

OR

2. Receive a refund of your Tract I sign up fee.

Tract II participants

Your completed US Sailing Online Offshore Safety At Sea Course will be recorded in the Online Look-up
https://www.ussailing.org/education/adult/safety-at-sea-courses/sas-attendance-lookup/ and that course completion serves as fulfillment for any subsequent Hands On Course taken in the next 12 months (NOTE: the cost of the online course in not refundable), then:

3. Hold your reservation for the re-set date with the option to cancel up to 30 days prior to the event if you have a conflict.

OR

4. Receive a refund of your course fee less the Hands on, Safety Book and US Sailing membership as applicable.

Please reply to STC at execdirector@stormtrysail.org with your election (either Option 1,2,3 or 4).

We will work hard to set up a new course and very much hope to see you in the fall. Meanwhile be safe out there.

Sincerely,
Chris Lewis
