YEA ASHRAE Training January 16th @10am 

Please join us for the 3rd in our series of training sessions for those who are new to the industry. This class will be held at 10am before the January Lunch and Technical Presentation.  Jared Keron from Siemens will be presenting on the parts of a BAS system and how they fit together.  See below for a synopsis of what the class will cover. 

The class will count for 1 PDH and will be free to members of the Columbus ASHRAE chapter and $10 for all non-ASHRAE members and all ASHRAE members who are not members of the Columbus Chapter.

 Course Synopsis:
  • Basics of Building Automation Systems
  • Difference between open and proprietary protocols.
  • What does BACnet mean.
  • Concept of BAS point
  • Identify various components.
  • How components and controllers form a BAS control System.

Bio on Jared Keron: Jared Keron, CEM, LEED AP O&M, has been in the HVAC industry over 14 years. He is currently a Account Executive with Siemens Industries, Inc., Building Technologies Division. He received his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. His technical focus has been on the integrations of Building Automation Systems and energy performance of commercial buildings.  Jared Keron has been an active member in ASHRAE at the local level since 2004, has served as a Board member since 2011.
