AWESOME Symposium April 27-29, 2016 

The fourth annual AWESOME Symposium –- an invitation-only event for senior-level women leaders in supply chain -- will be held April 27-28, with additional opportunities offered as options for April 29. This year’s Host Partner is NIKE, Inc. and Founding Partner is DSC Logistics. Events will take place in Portland, Oregon, and at Nike's World Headquarters.

SYMPOSIUM PLANS:

Wednesday, April 27

3:00 pm: Depart for Tour of NIKE, Inc. World Headquarters (for those who pre-register)

4:45 pm: Depart form The Nines Hotel for Networking Reception (if not registered for tour)

6:30 pm: AWESOME Legendary Leadership (ALL) Awards

7:30 pm: Dinner

Symposium Registration fee covers all of these activities.

Thursday, April 28

7:00 am - 8:00 am: Breakfast Buffet

8:00 am - 4:45 pm: Panel Discussions, Up-Close Conversations, Buzz Sessions

5:30 pm - 7:00 pm: Networking Reception

Symposium Registration fee includes breakfast and lunch and all of the activities above.

Thursday, April 28 Additional Opportunity (optional)

Portland Dine-Arounds on 4/28: Following the Networking Reception, continue building connections at small group dinners in Portland (Additional cost – Dutch treat). 

Friday, April 29 Additional Opportunities (optional) 

Participants may choose either or both an early morning and a mid-day option.

Early Morning (7:30 am) — Your choice of these options (Included at no additional cost):

A) Transportation to NIKE, Inc. World Headquarters and opportunity to use selected exercise facilities or take a campus tour

B) Guided power walk in downtown Portland 

Mid-day (10:30 am) — Your choice of these options:

A) Willamette Valley Winery Tour – wine-tasting and lunch (Additional cost of $150)

B) Multnomah Falls and Old Historic Highway Tour – light hiking and lunch (Additional cost of $75)

    All tours will return to the hotel no later than 4 pm.

REGISTRATION CRITERIA

This is an invitation-only event for senior-level women in supply chain.

If you would like to attend the Symposium but have not received an invitation, please read the following information about eligibility criteria. If you meet these criteria, please email marycline@awesomeleaders.org to request an invitation.

Eligibility Criteria: 

 • Chief Supply Chain Officers, VPs and Directors with supply chain responsibilities at manufacturing, retail, technology or other companies managing complex supply chains

• Board members, C-suite and VP level leaders in large logistics and supply chain companies, including aerospace, aviation, rail and ocean companies ($500 million and above)

• Board members and C-suite leaders in medium-sized logistics and supply chain companies ($100 – $500 million)

• Partners and practice leaders of large consulting firms in supply chain management, engineering, technology or other related fields ($50 million and above)

• Senior leaders in government and non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) focused on transportation and infrastructure

• General / Flag Officers or other select senior leaders in military logistics or purchasing / acquisition roles

• Professors of leading or emerging university-level programs in logistics and supply chain, engineering, information technology and other related programs

• CEO’s and Executive Directors of logistics or supply chain industry organizations

CANCELLATION POLICY 

In case of cancellation on or before March 31, an administrative fee of $85 will be deducted from the refund and applied to AWESOME's scholarship fund. After March 31, the registration fee is non-refundable.
