ASHRAE February Meeting: The Interface between Risk and Ethics with President Tim Wentz

The topic of ethics has always been difficult to address because ethics itself is often seen as fluid; it depends on the person, the culture or the situation, thereby making it difficult to measure or predict.   This presentation looks at the relationship between risk and ethics while exploring some ways at placing risk and ethics into a common context where they can be viewed together and likely outcomes measured or predicted.

Join us for a special presentation by ASHRAE Society's President, Tim Wentz.  This is an excellent opportunity to meet our president, find out about what is happening nationally and explore the timely and important subject of ethics in the industry.

PRESENTER:

Tim Wentz, PE, HBDP ASHRAE President
Associate Professor of Construction Management, University of Nebraska

Professor Wentz graduated from the University of Nebraska with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He then went on to work in the family mechanical contracting firm. He spent 19 years in the industry, before entering academia. Wentz has received numerous awards for his teaching and service to the HVAC industry including the Distinguished Service Award, MCAA’s highest award and he is the current President of ASHRAE.
