Review agenda
Review history of orthographic projection
Introducing the elements of:
- Identify the principle views used in orthographic projections
- Identify the types of lines used in projection drawings and the purpose of each
- Identify auxiliary and sectional views
- Practice - Projection of normal, inclined and oblique surfaces
- Create physical “paper dolls” to enable visualization of complex geometries
- Recap of the day - Lessons Learned, Parking lot items, actions for day two
Day Two 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Identify the differences between first and third angle projections
Introduction of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to compliment the orthographic projections incorporated in engineering drawings.
- Identify and draw GD&T Symbols
- Correctly use GD&T symbols
- Describe Maximum and Minimum material conditions
- Describe and correctly apply Datums
- Identify various inspection tools
- Demonstrate the use of measuring devices.
