Pamela Jones Davidson, J.D., FCEP
President and Founder, Davidson Gift Design ~ Charitable Gift Planning Services
Emeritus, Thompson & Associates

Pamela is known nationally to development professionals, planned giving councils, estate and tax attorneys, accountants and financial planners as well as to prospects and donors about gift planning and charitable giving techniques. She will bring a motivational and empowering message stated in practical and pragmatic terms about gift planning advantages and options that can benefit individuals, families and valued charities and the essential ingredient of how to do what you want to do.

Eleven Steps Your Organization Can Take for Planned Giving Success

There are steps every charity can immediately take to begin integrating planned gift ideas and appeals into its overall development program, and to introduce planned giving concepts to nearly all of its prospects. This session will cover eleven no- or low- cost steps, both practical and doable for staff, Board members and volunteers to establish and sustain proactive gift planning and to set activity-based goals in this critical aspect of fundraising. Both new and established programs will benefit from this presentation.

Donor Panel Discussion led by Mary Stahl and Dina Althardt, CFRE

Building a solid relationship with their donors is a key component for panelist moderators Mary Stahl and Dina Althardt at Washington University. They will lead a discussion with a donor and her financial advisor about how the donor’s compelling experience led her to select Washington University and the Siteman Cancer Center as the focus for her philanthropy.

Planned Giving Perspectives Panel led by Elizabeth Niven

Not every organization has a dedicated planned giving gift officer and certainly not a team. Hear from three development professionals from different types and sizes of organizations about how they handle planned giving, their marketing, their collaborative efforts, their plans and their wish list.
