Presentation Description: Join us to learn why storytelling is a must for your donor cultivation strategy. When sharing your organizations’ story with your donors, and the impact it has on those you serve, your donors will clearly understand WHY your organization is the partner for them, and HOW they can make their greatest impact through your mission. By increasing relevancy through targeted stewardship for each donor, you will highlight their interests. In other words, they will feel heard, understood, and more inspired. By incorporating storytelling into your strategy, you can encourage them to take further action as a committed donor or volunteer.
Speaker Bios:
Stephanie Hadfield has been with the American Cancer Society since October of 2001, based in the St. Louis office. She has served on their development team for the entirety of her career; and has excelled at relationship management skills and high level volunteer engagement. She started as a Sr. Development Manager working on collegiate & community large scale specialty events. She served as their Associate Director of Development from 2017-2021, leading a team of high performing development staff who met and exceeded their income goals for the market. She has worked in all areas of development – events, corporate engagement, sponsorship & donor solicitation, stewardship, and volunteer training and recruitment. She has also worked successfully leading the St. Louis Leadership Board, growing the board to 15 members, all while increasing revenue, relevancy and commitment to our mission. She was promoted to the role of Director of Estate in Gift Planning in September 2021, and her territory is the entire state of Missouri, with the exception of the 5 counties outside of Kansas City.
Her personal motto is a quote by Jay Danzie: “Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, how you leave others feeling after an experience with you becomes your trademark.”
Stephanie resides in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband of 14 years, Brian, and their three children, Ben who is 11 years old and her 10 year-old twins, Liam and Jocelyn.
April Dzubic has more than two decades of non-profit experience in a variety of roles, from event fundraising and campaigns, communications, community engagement and leadership roles, including serving as Executive Director for Missouri. At the start of 2021, April Dzubic took on a new role at the American Cancer Society to build out a major gifts program for Missouri and Kansas. April is driven by her passion for helping people and building relationships, and her belief in the Society’s mission. April graduated from the University of Illinois in broadcast journalism, after beginning as a chemical engineering major. Some of April’s favorite things are her husband, two kids, their dog, popcorn and traveling. Her passion for travel fulfills her love of adventure, including backpacking the Grand Canyon, swimming with pink dolphins in the Amazon, white water rafting, and hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

Registration will close 3 business days prior to each program or event so that we can effectively communicate with our vendors. Please message us directly with any further inquiries regarding late registration.
Full refunds are available up to 4 business days prior to a program or event. After that time, we are unable to accommodate refunds unless SLCCGP cancels the program or event. Thank you for understanding.
If you register using the Member Pay at the Door ticket, you will be responsible to paying your registration fee even if you do not attend.
SLCCGP and all of its affiliates reserve the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored or hosted by SLCCGP without the express written permission of those included within the photograph/video. SLCCGP may use the photograph/video in internal and external publications or materials produced, used, or contracted by SLCCGP. A person who does not wish to have their image recorded should make their wishes known to the photographer and/or the event organizers.
