Presentation Description: Professor Fazzari teaches Macroeconomics at Washington University in St. Louis and is an expert on the causes and consequences of the Great Recession, the macroeconomic effects of rising income inequality, deficit reduction, and capital gains taxation. Join us for his timely remarks on issues that impact all Americans and particularly those who work for nonprofit organizations and in the charitable giving arena.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Steven Fazzari

Speaker Bio: Steven Fazzari has been on faculty at Washington University in St. Louis for 40 years.  Professor Fazzari’s research explores the sources of economic growth and causes of US business cycles. He co-edited the 2013 book, After the Great Recession: the Struggle for Economic Recovery and Growth, analyzing the dramatic macroeconomic events of the global financial crisis. He continues to study the stagnant aftermath of the Great Recession and is now exploring the effect of rising income inequality on long-term household spending dynamics that shape economic growth.  His commentary on public policy issues have been widely highlighted in regional and national media.

Continuing Education:
MCLE – Thinking Hard About U.S. Economic Growth and Inflation is approved for 1.2 total hours, including 0.0 ethics hours and 0.0 elimination of bias hours.

CFRE – Full participation in Thinking Hard About U.S. Economic Growth and Inflation is applicable for 1.0 points in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.

Full refunds are available up to 4 business days prior to a program or event. After that time, we are unable to accommodate refunds unless SLCCGP cancels the program or event. Thank you for understanding.

If you register using the Member Pay at the Door ticket, you will be responsible to paying your registration fee even if you do not attend.
