Join the City of Bowling Green and the Southeastern Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association for the Kentucky Muddy Water Blues Field Day on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.


The Southeast Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) represents a large area of the United States – Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The organization is the global resource for information on erosion and sediment control, and the Southeast Chapter is the 8-state-region's resource for information that is applicable to this region.

What it is ALL ABOUT: Annually, the City of Bowling Green offers an educational event to provide their certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) Contractors anopportunity to extend their certification. In 2019, and now again in 2022, the City is partnering with the International Erosion Control Association to offer a Field Day event. Dubbed “Muddy Water Blues”,the event will bring together many different regional contractors, regulators, and vendors to discuss thelatest in staying compliant with state and local requirements for EPSC.

Wednesday, March 23, 2022 - Seated regulatory introductions and presentations will open the event at Sloan Convention Center.  After lunch has concluded, attendees will make their way to our Field Day location, adjacent to the BGWC Airport where they will be divided into smaller groups and rotated through stations.  Stations will include instruction/review regarding BMP proper installation techniques and applications.  Exhibitors showcasing their proprietary products and services will also be incorporated into the rotations.  Seven continuing education credits will be awarded for attendance.  A light breakfast will be available and a plated lunch will be served. Please indicate if you have any dietary restrictions when registering.
