Annual Spring Bike Ride :  April 25, 2015

Join us for the annual spring bike ride Saturday, April 25 at 10:30 AM. Meet us in Purcellville, VA, on the Washington Old Dominion bike trail, by the Magnolia restaurant. There is plenty of parking available around that area.

There is also a bike shop nearby, Trail's End,  that will rent bikes. Please go to their website for more information. http://www.trailsendcycling.com/

Any bike will do but best suited are road bikes as the trail is asphalted. From Purcellville you can ride towards Leesburg, VA, which is ten miles away and can turn around wherever you want depending on your enthusiasm and stamina. For more energetic riders Ashburn is 20 miles away by Dulles airport, Vienna 30 mile and Georgetown 44 miles. The distances quoted are to Purcellville.

We plan to eat at the Magnolia restaurant at 12:30pm. The Magnolia Restaurant web site is: www.magnoliasmill.com/MenuPDF.php

Registration is not required but we should know how many people to expect so that we can make a reservation ahead of time.

For your safety and pleasure you should bring a water bottle, helmet and bike air pump. If it is the first time this year on the bike take a test run around your area to see if there are any fixes/maintenance needed.

Rain Date:  Saturday, May 2, at 10:30 AM.
