More details to come.
This annual charity tournament is the highlight of the tennis season and is all about having fun and giving back to the community! Participants are organized onto teams and each team is given a theme. Costumes, court decorations and music are all part of this unique tournament.
There is no dress code for Davisville Cup and in the past we have seen aliens, cheerleaders, gangsters, rockers, hippies, cavemen, cowgirls and many other characters swinging a racquet at the club!
This year's theme is Pirates; each team will show their colours and compete for the final bounty.
All money raised goes to the Philpott Inner-City Tennis Fund to provide free tennis camps to children in Toronto's inner-city neighborhoods.
In the past 9 years, Davisville Cup has raised over $110,000 for these inner-city tennis camps.
Please help us to succeed again this year by pledging your support.
All money raised goes to:
The Philpott Children's Tennis Fund
Provides summer tennis camps free-of-charge to Toronto children and youth, living in high priority needs neighbourhoods, ages 5-15, who would otherwise not have access to such activities. They hire 34 qualified instructors to teach tennis at 18 summer camps, which are located across Toronto, including downtown, Scarborough, Etobicoke and Jane & Finch. Their partnership with the Toronto Sports Leadership program offers youth the opportunity to volunteer at camps, preparing them for Tennis Canada certification and then future paid employment as tennis instructors. Philpott children learn more than tennis – they learn important lessons about discipline, cooperation, physical fitness and self-confidence.
