Clinical Commissioning Groups and Mental Health Trusts are required to work with NHS England to ensure the successful management of and reporting on homicides. NHS England works with Domestic Homicide Review panels, and Deaths in Custody reviews to commission joint investigations as well as independent investigations. NHS England wishes to engage with providers with the necessary expertise and experience to deliver these type of services.
NHS England wishes to engage with providers delivering these type of services to help shape their specifications for joint and independent investigation services. NHS England would like to ensure their service specification provides a good mix of services and skills to support and improve delivery across both national and the existing geographical spread of the regional units.
