The New 'Light Touch' Regime - 15th April 2016
Venue: Victoria House, Fulbourn, Cambridge
Hosted by the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub, this event is FREE to NHS staff and will be led by Chris Brennan of Mills & Reeve.
About the Seminar
Under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 “Part B Services” are no more – they are replaced by the 'light touch regime' which from April 2016 will also apply to NHS bodies procuring clinical services.
Join leading law firm Mills & Reeve to find out more about what this new procurement regime means for clinical services procurement.
How can a light touch procurement be run with limited risk of challenge and what are the key “dos” and “dont's”?
Target audience: Procurement teams who are involved in the procurement of clinical services, or any other 'light touch' regime services.
What is the Light Touch Regime?
This procurement route is set out in the PCR 2015, at Regulation 74 onwards. It applies to the procurement of health services whose value equals or exceeds the threshold of £589,148. The process has been called “light touch” as it does not require one of the official procurement processes to be followed.
