Announcing
The TFLA Summer Institute 2019

The 2019 TFLA Summer Institute will focus on a relatively new concept in language education: high-leverage teaching practices (HTLPs), which provide the greatest "leverage" for teachers in bringing about effective student learning. Dr. Eileen W. Glisan, lead author of a recently published text on this topic, will lead teachers through six practices by means of a brief theoretical discussion, deconstruction of each practice, and hands-on rehearsal of each practice. Days 1 and 2 will address the HLTPs in hands-on fashion, while Day 3 will culminate with an application of these instructional practices to the design and implementation of the Integrated Performance Assessment (IPA).

July 23-25, 2019, 8:30-3:30 pm each day
