Affordable Housing User Group 

JDR Consulting is pleased to announce our first Atlanta Affordable Housing User Group, which is to be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.

The group will be broken out into two distinct sessions, to accommodate a broader audience. We invite you to attend one or both sessions based on your individual job focus. Each session will conclude with a roundtable discussion where you may ask questions, share concerns and look to your peers and the experts for solutions that can help guide you through your challenges.

Session I: Reconciling HAP payments in Voyager [9:00 AM - 11:30 AM]

 This session will cover how to reconcile your 50059 HAP Voucher request to your contract administrator approved voucher amount.  It will cover the timing, procedures and functions used in Yardi Voyager to match the approved HAP charges, so you can post monthly HAP receipts. Continental breakfast will be served.

Session II: Reconciling Tax Credit Subsidy payments in Voyager [12:00 PM - 2:30 PM]

In this session we will cover how to reconcile tax credit subsidy payments paid by the housing authority versus what was posted through monthly rent posting.  We will include identifying the discrepancies and confirming why they occur.  We will also demonstrate how to use the Adjust Lease function to create the adjusting subsidy lease charges needed to reconcile the Consolidated Receipts and correct the monthly lease charges for future months. Light lunch will be served.

 MEET OUR PRESENTER

Joseph Fernandez, Jr. is an independent Yardi consultant, property management professional and Affordable Housing specialist with over seventeen years of experience in multi-family housing for conventional and affordable housing. Joseph is an expert in tax credit, HOME, bond, HUD project-based Section 8 and USDA rural development compliance. Joseph also have extensive field expertise in the Yardi Voyager software suite in the areas of residential, finance, analytics, check scanning, maintenance, administration and security management.
