J-1 Scholar Immigration Clearance Session - August 31 

J-1 Scholar Immigration Clearance Sessions are mandatory for all initial and transfer J-1 scholars. You must attend the first available session after you enter the US to learn what regulations you must follow to stay in good standing and what resources and programs are available to you and you dependents (if applicable.) Failure to attend a scheduled Immigration Clearance Session will compromise your status in the US. 

Before attending, please complete our Online Clearance Form.

When you come to a session, please bring the following items:

• DS-2019
• Passport and visa
• Health insurance information, and health insurance statement
• (only if you are paid by Northeastern University) your I-94 information. You can retrieve and print your I-94 information online HERE)
• (if applicable) Your dependents’ DS-2019 and their passports containing their J-2 visa
