Community Cooks - Series of 3 Herbal Workshops
Join Slow Food Wisconsin Southeast and Venice Williams of Alice's Garden for a series of three Community Cooks events. You can register for one, two, or all three! Each class costs $5. In the first lesson, learn about using herbs in your kitchen! Venice will teach us how to make the most of herbs in cooking and how to make household cleaning products. Please bring two pint size jars with lids. You will be able to take a sample of some of the food you prepare home with you.
In the second lesson, learn about the healing properties of herbs! Venice will
teach us how to make herbal healing remedies using herbs and a few items you
already have at home. Please bring two pint size jars with lids. You will be able
to take some samples you make home with you.
In the final lesson, learn about adding herbs to cocktails and other drinks. Venice will teach us how herbs can add depth to a variety of drinks. You will have the opportunity to make your own drinks. Please bring two pint size jars with lids so you can take home a sample of your creations. All drinks will be non-alcoholic. You may add "a little something" when you get home!
