CSRT Lecture at Two Roads Brewery
The CSRT is proud to sponsor an innovative and exciting lecture by the Chief Conservator of the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, CT, Mr. Ulrich Birkmaier. The lecture, titled “X-rays in Art: Painters’ Secrets Revealed” will take place at Two Roads Brewing in Stratford, CT on Sunday, February 26. The lecture begins sharply at 2:30 with onsite registration starting at 2:00 pm.
This unique lecture will highlight how x-rays are utilized to investigate what may be hidden below the paint surface of oil masterpieces. This fascinating discussion about the advanced techniques of art conservationists in today’s museums will be of great interest to both medical imaging technologists and art aficionados.
