Society Members, you should be receiving a package in the mail the first week of September. Enclosed in this package is important information regarding resolutions of Sources Community Resources Society's Constitutions and Bylaws in order to meet compliance with the new Societes Act.

A special resolution of the Society Members is required to pass the Society's amended Constitution and Bylaws. Members, please take some time to review these proposed changes.

If you do not recieve your package and/or have general inquiries about the Society's Constitution and Bylaws, please contact Amira Loosemore, Executive & Communications Assistant (contact information above).

I’m passionate about empowering people! My work centres on facilitating health and safety for families with babies and young children. Reconciliation, diversity and relationships are some of my values. A daily dose of nature renews my spirit and gives me a better perspective.

I am the Executive Director at the BC Association of Family Resource Programs. With over 20 years of community development in the family resource programs field, I still marvel at the good things that happen when possibility-minded people gather together. I share our Statement of Reconciliation and invite you to explore developing your own. In my role, I am responsible for stakeholder collaboration across British Columbia and promoting quality practice within family resource programs.

Sherry’s discussion will highlight the importance and timeliness of reconciliation. She will explore our collective role in pursuing reconciliation in Canada. Her reflections will invite you to consider how we can participate in reconciliation as individuals.

“Reconciliation is here now and stands with outstretched hands to you and to me. Find someone today and have a conversation about reconciliation” (Sherry Sinclair, TEDx Chilliwack, 2017).
