Once you've learned how to enter and format your data, then set up formulas (See "Excel Basics" class), you'll want to learn intermediate topics like sorting, filtering, pivot tables and charts. Never again will you be intimidated by all of the entries on a spreadsheet or feel like you have to spend hours doing tedious calculations, comparisons and references one-at-a-time. These powerful skills will allow you make meaningful sense out of your data and take action if necessary.
