Join us for a Women's Ignatian Retreat from August 6-9, 2015 focused on the Ignatian Exercises lead by Steven Pitts, SJ. Join Steven and other like women for a weekend of reflection, rediscovery, and refreshment. The Spiritual Exercises are a compilation of meditations, prayers, and contemplative practices developed by St. Ignatius Loyola to help people deepen their relationship with God.
Stephen Pitts, SJ is a Jesuit scholastic of the US Central and Southern Province. He was born in New Orleans, LA and grew up in Memphis, TN. Before entering the Jesuits, he studied math and computer science at the University of Oklahoma, where he worked as part of the campus ministry staff of St. Thomas More parish in Norman, OK. His Jesuit formation began with two years in Grand Coteau, LA, followed by three years of study at Loyola University Chicago. Next he taught math for three years at Jesuit College Prep in Dallas, TX, where he helped with a variety of retreats for students, faculty, and parents both at JCP and at nearby Montserrat Jesuit Retreat House. He just completed his first year at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA, and this summer he is working at Loyola University New Orleans and finally getting in touch with his roots.
