July 2014 Introduction to Grant Proposal Writing & Online Funding Research Workshop

The Introduction to Grant Proposal Writing and Online Funding Research Workshop is designed for organizations and individuals new to grant writing, organizations interested in strengthening their funds development options, and individuals or charity volunteers interested in learning how to locate new grant funding opportunities. This workshop is beneficial to organizations that:

1. Are new to grant writing or organizations with no dedicated development staff,
2. Have never been funded under any type of grant funding contract,
3. Are interested in seeking or diversifying organizational funding sources,
4. Have board members or staff of nonprofits organizations and are interested in learning more about how the process really works, and
5. Those newly incorporated nonprofits (501 (c) 3's & 4's) with little or no experience with grant proposal development.

What you will learn from the attending the Workshop:

By attending introductory grant writing workshop, attendees will learn: (1) how to tell if your organization is ready to apply for grants (grant readiness), (2) how to appropriately align your organization to apply for grant funding, (3) how to get your organization ready to apply for grant funding opportunities, and how to understand request for proposals (RFP's) and funding opportunity announcements (FOA's). Attendees will also learn tips on how to conduct funding searches.

Intended Audience: New nonprofit organizations, existing nonprofit organizations with only one source of funding (donations), and very small nonprofits (1-5 paid staff persons, organizations with all volunteer staffs, and organizations with budgets of less than $50,000-$100,000 annually),  public entities, and organizations interested in developing future fundraising staff members. Anyone interested may attend, and it is open to the general public. THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT FOR FOR-PROFIT BUSINESSES & ENTITIES SEEKING GRANTS TO START A BUSINESS! Kirk's Consulting Services, LLC. only develops grant proposals for nonprofit , public, and governmental entities.

Workshop Refund Policy

Kirk's Consulting Services fully understands that last minute situations arise unexpectedly. As we work in an attempt to fill every workshop, last minute cancellations create a  lot of stress. Kirk's Consulting Services also face huge financial losses due to cancellations. Please note there is a no-cash refund policy in place. Our refund policies are designed to offset workshop development costs. We have provide alternative options below.

Transfers to Future Workshops: Sometimes an emergency arises preventing registered participants from attending workshops. The attendee, or the attendees organization, may have the fully paid workshop registration transferred to a future workshop offered by Kirk's Consulting Services LLC within a 24-month period of the original workshop registration date. Attendees will be responsible for any additional fees if workshop prices increase.

In-Kind the Slot: Attendees that find they are unable to attend a workshop may donate the slot to another staff member,  another organization's staff persons, public school educator, or other community-based organization so that they may attend the training. Just email us the information of the currently registered attendee, and the name of the person the workshop is being in-kinded to, and we will do the rest. Transfers must be completed at least 7-days prior to workshop date.

We thank you in advance for your understanding.
