Hands-On Floral Design 

Using flower and foliage that you might find in your own yard and garden, learn the basic techniques of floral design in this 3-part workshop led by Barbara Rietscha, owner of Field & Vase. On the first night, you will learn the advantages of local flowers, flower selection and composition of arrangement. The second night will focus on the mechanics of arranging in different styles of vases and color composition. In the final class you will learn how to care for your floral arrangement.

Flowers will be provided for all classes and for the first and second class. Bring your most challenging vase for the third class. Please bring a pair of clippers with you to each class. Each week, you'll go home with a beautiful arrangement. 

Barbara Rietscha owns and operates Field & Vase. Field & Vase is a farmer-florist business. In her designs, Barbara uses flowers and herbs grown on her cut flower farm, Stow Greenhouses, located in Stow, MA.
