Ask The Expert is an ongoing series of free community education workshops open to the public. Workshops are held monthly and feature a new topic, lead by an expert in the field. Child care is provided free with early registration. Registration is required for child care because of limited space. We love community involvement, so If you have a topic idea or would like to present at Ask the Expert please e-mail Events@BPandHT.com with your topic and contact information.

Understanding Your Billing Benefits, Bills, and Payment Options

Do I Have Coverage? What am I Being Charged For? How am I going to Pay for My Child's Treatment?

On Monday, April 21st at 6:30pm, Our dynamic team of billing experts will be discussing how parents and guardians can navigate through the world of benefits, authorizations, treatment bills, and more. We want to answer your toughest billing questions, such as How am I going to pay for my child’s treatment? and help families better understand their insurance benefits, bills, and payment options.

You will learn about payment options and solutions, how to check your benefits, and gain a better understanding of your billing statement. During the workshop, our billing team will be available to go over your individual plan and payment options (for active BPHT patients), additionally, payment plans and Care Credit are available on site.

We offer as a team: coding and compliance training and certification; professional billers with over 29 years of experience within the team; and extensive insurance plan and benefit knowledge.

Child Care: Provided free with early registration on a first come, first served basis.

Meet Our Billing Manager Dawn Rorie, CHW, CPC

Dawn brings over 20 years of medical billing experience to BPHT and adds the new “Financial Counselling” piece to our practice. She is a certified professional coder and a Community Health worker specializing in the Affordable Healthcare Reform Act in plan navigation. Dawn’s personal mission is to help our patients understand how to navigate and actively participate in their insurance benefit. Her passion for billing, benefits and pediatrics has stemmed from her own experiences as a parent of a special needs child who is now an adult. She has been on both sides of the care team as a parent and as a billing manager.
