Learn how to manage meals, routines, sleep and more! In this exciting workshop for busy working moms with young children, Gentle Sleep Coach Jen Varela, Working Mom Support Coach Elaine McGhee and Personal Chef Michelle Koenig, share strategies for more peaceful nights and easier days. They will share tips for effective sleep training, healthy meal planning and how to balance it all using smart time management tools. You will leave this workshop feeling recharged and ready to take on life!

 

 Meals:

Do you want to cook for your family, but lack the time and energy to meal plan and find recipes? If you want to be able to pull out a recipe, go to your pantry and fridge at any time and be able to have all the ingredients you need to cook a meal, learning how to meal plan is essential.

Chef Michelle will teach you:

  • How to create a personalized and well organized shopping list
  • How to organize your kitchen and pantry to maximize efficiency
  • How to choose healthy recipes that your whole family will enjoy
  • How to maximize your recipes including creative ways to use leftovers

Routines:

Feeling overwhelmed by your busy life? Can’t get out the door on time? Learn smart ways to eliminate draining tasks, discover how to recharge your energy in surprising ways and ultimately free up more time for you and your family.

Elaine's information session will allow you to:

  • Refine your morning and night routine
  • Reduce stress with high and low tech time management solutions
  • Reclaim some sanity with mindful parenting tips

Sleep:

If your 6 month old or older baby or toddler is not sleeping through the night, there is hope! You and your baby don’t have to be sleep deprived. You will leave this workshop with knowledge about why your child wakes at night and tips on what to do to reduce night awakenings.

Jen will teach you how to:

  • Learn about your child’s biological sleep needs and how to meet them
  • Learn the science behind sleep training and why it works
  • Learn about gentle sleep training methods 

 

ThriveMomma

 Elaine is a working mom of two balancing the demands of family and career while pursuing her passion for empowering moms.From her own emotionally traumatic return to work after her first child, the ThriveMomma support community was born. Trained in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at UCSD Center for Mindfulness she has spent the past four years as a Working Mom Support Coach helping moms to thrive in the areas of back to work readiness, time management and holistic wellbeing.

Chef Michelle has been working in the culinary industry for over 15 years with a specialty in event planning and catering. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, she moved to New York City where she began working in the special events department at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. While there, she began attending The Institute of Culinary Education where she received a degree in the Culinary Arts. She has worked as a Catering Director for Whole Foods Market, Catering and Events Manager for Zanzibar Café, Inc. and as a Personal Chef.

When it comes to food, Chef Michelle believes in approachable recipes that showcase fresh ingredients, balancing both flavor and nutrition. She believes that food should be inspired and creative, but not complicated. She is a mother of two and enjoys cooking healthy meals for her family as well as helping families implement healthy meal plans in their own homes.

Jen Varela is the mother of two children. She holds a B.S. degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Counseling from California State University Fullerton, California. She is a member of the International Association of Child Sleep Consultants and a Certified Gentle Sleep Coach trained by Kim West, “The Sleep Lady”.
