Instrument Ground School at KAPA
Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:00-9:00pm
July 15 - August 26, 2019

Looking to add an instrument rating to your Private Pilot Certificate?  The Instrument Ground School Course will provide you with all the training necessary to pass the FAA Instrument written exam. Topics include flight instrument systems, attitude instrument flight, instrument navigation, airports and airspace, FARs, ATC systems and clearances, departure, enroute and arrival charts and procedures, holding patterns, approach charts and procedures, GPS navigation, flight simulation, meteorology, aeromedical factors, and IFR emergency procedures and flight planning.

While you can certainly take care of your studying on your own, most people prefer to attend a classroom course. Not only will this ensure you cover all the material, but it will also provide the structure and organization to get you through the required material in an organized and timely manner.

The next ground session starts on July 15 and runs for 6 weeks on Monday & Wednesday evenings from 6-9PM. (No class on Wednesday, August 7th.)

The cost of the class is $350.00, due on the first day of class

Required Materials:

  • Jeppesen's Guided Flight Discovery Instrument/Commercial Textbook, available for sale either on the first night of class or pick it up beforehand.
  • FAA Instrument Flying Handbook
  • FAA Instrument Procedures Handbook
  • FAA Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge

Class space is limited, so register today!
