That episode is part of a longer passage that teaches about anger, idolatry and humility, discipline, learning, knowledge, and the experience of the Divine.
Join us for a meaningful and informative Shabbaton to discuss this passage together with other teachings of the Sages and discover what Hillel has to teach
us today about these abiding themes of anger, idolatry and humility, discipline, learning, knowledge, and the experience of the Divine.
- Friday Shabbat dinner at 5:45 p.m.
- Adult Education Program at 7:00 p.m.: The Danger of Anger - The Blessings of Humility.
- Parallel youth activity for children during lecture.
- Kabbalat Shabbat services at 8:00 p.m.: Relationship and Trust Makes Learning Stick
- Saturday morning services at 9:30 a.m.: The Power of Being in the Divine Presence. Learners' Service and Shorashim (Tot) Service for families.
- Lunch after services: Talk about The Hillel Narratives and discussion about Hillel’s influence on Jewish society
The dinner will be poultry with a vegetarian option. Please indicate which meal you would like on the registration form.
