Balanced Leadership

If you are a professional development leader in your school district, you can become trained and authorized by McREL to deliver our Balanced Leadership for Student Learning workshops to educators and school leaders within your district.
To become an authorized facilitator, you must attend our four-day Balanced Leadership for Student Learning session and then stay for an additional day of learning specific for professional learning facilitators.
Upon successful completion of the facilitator training sessions and a satisfactory quality assurance review, you will be authorized by McREL to deliver our Balanced Leadership workshops for a period of one year (annually renewable via a refresh training offered by McREL).
Agenda
June 20-23 (Monday-Thursday): Balanced Leadership sessions
- Participate in four days of professional learning about Balanced Leadership for Student Learning, alongside participants from across the country.
- Receive additional coaching and guidance from McREL's leadership experts, about best practices for adult learning and facilitator notes for each day's session.
June 24 (Friday): Facilitator Training
- Receive in-depth training about facilitator process, workshop activities, resource materials, and adult learning strategies.
- Receive information about required next steps for your quality assurance review.
Afterward: Video/Online Quality Assurance Review
- After you return to your school district, you'll demonstrate a facilitation of the Balanced Leadership sessions through onsite and video review with a McREL consultant to verify quality and effectiveness of delivery. Please contact us for additional details on this process and cost.
