Financial Inclusion for Immigrant Consumers:
New York Roundtable

Learn how your credit union can grow by meeting the financial needs of Hispanics and immigrants. Often underbanked, Hispanics tend to use high-cost alternative providers that don't offer the asset-building services that credit unions provide. Join industry experts and leading policy makers for our roundtable on immigration reform's impact on credit unions.

Financial Inclusion for Immigrant Consumers: New York Roundtable

The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions invites you to attend the Financial Inclusion for Immigrant Consumers Roundtable in New York, part of a national campaign to link unbanked and underbanked immigrants in the US with credit union products and services for immigration and legalization efforts.

Of the 10 million unbanked households in the US, nearly 20 percent are foreign-born, non-citizen households. With President Obama's recently announced Executive Order that provides deportation relief for nearly half of the undocumented immigrants in the US today, credit unions face a historic opportunity to bring these unauthorized workers and their families into the financial mainstream.

Our agenda includes speakers from credit unions working with immigrants to representatives of city agencies and non-profit organizations serving immigrants, plus special guest speaker Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York.

The event has been fully booked and cannot accomodate anymore guests, please contact Jason Chang to check for last-minute availability.
