Hotel:

The Westin Cape Coral room block is at a rate of $159. From May 30-June 3rd. The booking code upon reservation is "Southeast Desalting Association Spring Symposium" or "SEDA"

The Group Rate is guaranteed for reservations made on or before the cutoff date of May 8th.  Any reservations made after the cutoff date shall be at the hotels then current available rate.

Each Participant Receives

Conference materials, continental breakfast each day (Mon.-Wed.), Sunday Welcome Reception, refreshment breaks, lunch (Mon. and Tue.), Monday evening reception, hands-on training, operator challenge, plant facility tour and certificate of attendance.

Registrants now have the option to download the PowerPoints online or can receive them in electronic format; Please indicate on the registration form the option you prefer. All registration fees must be paid prior to the program. On-site registration and payment will be accepted.

Cancellations and Refunds

Written cancellation requests received by the Southeast Desalting  Association (SEDA) at least 5 days before a scheduled event will receive a refund, less a $50 administrative processing fee. Full payment is required if the request is received less than 5 days of the scheduled event and no refund will be available. A credit may be issued less a $25 recordkeeping fee towards a future event provided that it is redeemed within 12 months of  the credited scheduled event. The credit will be forfeited if not used within the 12 month timeframe.  A substitution of the registrant may be made any time without cost up to the date of the event. The requested amount of a refund or credit must exceed their respective administrative processing fees as described above in order to be considered.  SEDA reserves the right to make changes to the scheduled event including but not limited to changing the event location, scheduled date(s), program and speakers, or to cancel the event in its entirety when conditions beyond its control prevail. If the event is cancelled, SEDA’s liability is limited to providing a full refund of the fees paid toward the scheduled event.

After several weeks of monitoring the current environment and social impacts it is with great sadness, we are announcing the cancellation of the SEDA 2020 Spring Symposium May 31-June 3 in Cape Coral.


The safety of our attendees, volunteers and staff are most important. With the coronavirus pandemic still unfolding, leading health authorities are asking people to avoid travel and to practice social distancing. It’s uncertain when these guidelines might change. With the conference weeks away, it is hard to imagine a scenario in which we could move forward with full confidence.

Please find details on refunds, hotel cancellations, exhibit and sponsor questions, on the SEDA Website (www.SoutheastDesaltingAssociation.com).

We are evaluating innovative options to allow members to share their knowledge in new and creative ways. We will be sending details on that in the weeks ahead. We are already looking forward to our 2021 Spring Symposium in Cape Coral.

In closing, we want to thank you all again for your service throughout this pandemic. The work you are accomplishing on behalf of your communities is saving lives.

Cancelation information: If you are registered, attendee/presentor or sponsor or exhibitor and you would like to roll your registration to the 2021 Spring Symposium, no action is necessary.  If you would like to cancel your registration and receive a refund, please email Kelsey at Registration@southeastdesalting.com. You will receive your refund based on how you paid for your registration.

If you have a reservation at the hotel, all reservations will be cancelled this week, no action is necessary. Hotel reservations will not be rolled to the 2021 Spring Symposium, you will have to make a new reservation should you want to continue your trip and, or book for next year’s symposium.  Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
