This course will explore three major branches of Christianity: Catholicism (on Saturday, June 3), Eastern Orthodoxy (on Saturday, June 10), and Protestantism (on Saturday, June 17).

Afternoons (1-3:00pm) the branch's practice, emphasizing it polity and liturgy, will be explored by means of a site visit (to a local church no more thatn 35 minutes from Augusta) representing that branch.
On the fourth Saturday (June 24), a historical/institutional approach will be taken to the outward movement of Christianity (morning) across the 1st millennium (into the Middle East, Africa, and Asia) and (afternoon) over the past 50 years into the southern hemisphere (focusing on Africa).
