With today’s diverse NCLB classrooms and high-stakes testing, educators are scrambling to meet the needs of all students. The mandate is that each unique student, regardless of background, special needs, or level of commitment to coursework, can demonstrate content mastery.

That is a huge challenge, but when students possess intrinsic motivation, it can happen!

Colleen Mantell honed in on motivation as the key to achieving this elusive goal.  When students are guided to develop their own inner reasons for learning, they do it because they want to. That is genuine motivation….and authentic learning.

In researching existing theories and models on motivation, and facing the need for differentiated instruction in her own classroom, Colleen found various components that she could utilize, but not a logical, systematic process for getting everyone “on the same page” in terms of motivation.

To fill the need, she developed a 5-step process of motivation that is natural and that is compatible with differentiated learning. Using action research, she tested it and saw significant results across the board. Now she wants to share her successful framework with other teachers who face the same hurdles she did in trying to motivate students to learn.

Learn about this unique strategy based on empirical evidence at this webinar. In just 90 minutes, you will know how to:

  • Define components of student motivation as a sequence of steps toward content mastery
  • Identify and define empirically proven instructional strategies involving differentiated instruction in order to enable motivation and succes
  • Utilize unique new tracking tools to determine, monitor and scaffold student motivation
  • Create or revise lesson plans to meet the needs of all students, in order to empower individuals to master content

When your students have psychological membership and perceived self-efficacy, they will not only learn and retain the content you are presenting but they will develop critical thinking skills.

This webinar will provide you with all the information, tools, and resources you need to implement the 5-step process in your classroom immediately.

Once your students are motivated to learn and realize that they will succeed, you will no longer need to drag them along—they will want to learn.
