Writing II: More Grammar, More Sentences and on to Paragraphs (grades 5-7) - Spring 2021

Does your child have great ideas but difficulty with school writing assignments? If your student has taken a writing class with us before, they may be ready to take this next course! If your student is not continuing on from Writing Skills 1, s/he can complete a writing skills prescreen to determine if Writing Skills II  is appropriate for him/her.

Course Description: In this online course, students will continue to expand, strengthen, and polish their writing by learning more grammar rules and higher-level sentence structures. This highly interactive, small group class focuses on reviewing and completing the parts of speech and how they work in a sentence.  We will also cover more on punctuation, capitalization, and frequently confused words.  Paragraph development will be taught, emphasizing the importance of using vivid sentences, accomplished through edits and revision , always striving to create writing that sparkles! There is no prior class prerequisite for Writing 2.

It is strongly recommended students take Writing 1 before Writing II. However, participation in Writing II without taking 1 may be a possibility after the pretest screening.

This class meets for 8 weeks on Mondays ONLINE from 4 - 5pm.

Spring 2021 Course dates are: April 5, 12, 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17, 24

Registration closes Wednesday, March 17, 2021!

TUITION: $375 (includes $15 technology fee for online classes)
