2016 Best of Basics (BoB) Summer Program 

What is Best of Basics?

The Reading Center's summer program is named Best of Basics because we use the best tools to lay a basic foundation in lifelong abilities in reading, spelling, writing and math.

WHAT Best of Basics Provides:

• Multisensory instruction by specially-trained teachers that has proven exceptionally effective for students of all ages.
• A small group learning environment with students of like skills
• An average class size of between 4-6 students
• Review & reinforcement of vital, foundational skills to help prevent the summer slide
• A boost for students before school resumes
• A short pre-screening to determine the best class grouping for your child.

Other Details:

• Tution covers the class, pre-screen session, and course materials.
• Full payment for classes is due at the time of registration online, or within two weeks if paying by mail, to keep your student's place in the class.  If you wish to set up a payment plan, please contact our bookkeeper, Gade Grinnell at 507-288-5271.
• Course cost ranges from $150-$325 (see complete course listings for details)
• Partial scholarships are available for qualified famiies on a first-come, first-served basis.  See our website for a scholarship application.  If you are applying for a scholarship to attend, please register via mail and include the completed scholarship application.  Paper registration available here.
• Each child requires a separate registration, and will receive a separate confirmation email.
• A late fee of $50 is assessed for each class registration received after June 15, 2016.
• The Reading Center reserves the right to cancel (and refund tution) for classes if not enough registrations are received.

WHERE:  

• Our Pre-K to 5 classes will be held at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 5500 25th Avenue NW, Rochester, MN.  Please do not call the church with questions, call The Reading Center at 507-288-5271.
• Our Grades 6-12 classes will held at The Reading Center, 847 5th Street NW, Rochester, MN
